Capacity constraints due to growing order numbers and an increase in sales of 10% in 2009 require investments in new equipment in the prepacgroup companies.
The company ppg>wegoflex in Trebbin will be provided with another solvent-free laminating plant from Nordmeccanica. The model of choice is a Duplex SL HD which can be found identical in construction in Holdorf.
Moreover the ppg>flexofilm in Holdorf will possess further printing capacities in flexo printing in the future. Additionally to the two 8-colour flexo printing machines by Windmöller & Hölscher and a rotogravure machine by Rotomec the company decided in favor of a 10-colour flexo printing system which will also be delivered by W & H. ppg>flexofilm uses the already known endless print plates with this machine applying a state-of-the-art thin sleeve technology to realize short setup times. Also, constructions for a new hall in Holdorf have started to provide for the general storage space demands.
